ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Three Stanford track and field athletes provided top-10 performances and two-time All-American Garrett Brown cleared a season-best in the pole vault to highlight performances from the Cardinal at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Saturday.

Teagan Zwaanstra and Alyssa Jones produced two of Stanford’s all-time indoor marks in the women’s 60 meters and Zachary Ryan earned his second top-10 time in as many days, this time in the 400.

In the semifinals at Albuquerque Convention Center, Zwaanstra ran 7.36 and Jones 7.39 to move up to No. 6 and No. 9 in school history, respectively. Zwaanstra has set personal bests three times this season. Jones, who on Friday had the best women’s high-jump performance by a Cardinal in 38 years, set personal bests in the prelims (7.41) and semifinals Saturday.

Ryan, a sophomore, ran 46.89 on the 200-meter banked track on Saturday to move up to No. 5 on Stanford’s all-time indoor list. On Friday, Ryan ran 21.57 to move up to No. 8 in the 200.

Brown opened with a first-try clearance at 16-2 ½ (4.94 meters) and then made 16-8 ¼ (5.09) on his third try and 17-2 ¼ (5.24) on his second. It was Brown’s highest jump in three meets this season and was enough for sixth place, Stanford’s highest placing of the day.

In the women’s triple jump, Alaysia Oakes had a season-best of 40-8 ¼ (12.40) on her third attempt. The distance, in range of her indoor personal best of 40-11 ½ (12.48), earned her ninth.

Overall, Stanford women earned five personal bests Saturday, including two in the 400: Rachel Nelson in 56.25 and Sevilla Duran, competing in her hometown, in 57.42. This was the fourth 400 PB in as many meets for Duran, a graduate transfer from Columbia.
