Women's Water Polo wins Conference Championship

No. 2 Stanford tops No. 3 UCLA and No. 1 USC on path to MSPF title

No. 2 Stanford Women’s Water Polo competed in the MPSF Championships this past weekend. On Sunday afternoon, the Cardinal upset No. 1 USC 16-14 to clinch their fourth MPSF Championship in five years and their ninth MPSF title overall. Stanford avenged their only loss of the season which came in a 11-10 defeat to the Trojans back on March 22.

On their path to the championship, the Card routed No. 19 San Jose State 16-3 and defeated No. 3 UCLA with a golden goal to top the Bruins 11-10.

Softball Sweeps Top-5 Florida State

No. 24 Stanford goes 4-0 on the week

It was a momentous week for No. 24 Stanford Softball as the Card went 4-0, including a no-hitter against UC Davis and a sweep of No. 5 Florida State that saw two thrilling walk-off victories.

On Tuesday, Stanford used four pitchers to keep UC Davis hitless today in a 6-0 Cardinal win. Zoe Prystajko, Anna Brewer, Ava Bulanti and Alyssa Houston tossed the 37th no-hitter in program history.

Then the weekend series against a top-5 opponent in the Seminoles arrived. In Game 1, the 1,134-person crowd at Stanford Softball Stadium got their money’s worth, as freshman Addyson Sheppard hit a walk-off grand slam to push the Cardinal past the Seminoles 9-8. 

On Saturday, in Game 2, Stanford picked up a top-five series win, riding a seven-run fourth inning to beat Florida State 7-2. Then, for the second time in three days, Stanford walked off Florida State. Sunday’s hero was Jade Berry, who singled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning, capping off a three-game sweep over the Seminoles.

Finally, to cap off an amazing weekend, Taryn Kern was awarded the Golden Ticket for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League, securing her a place in the league next season.

Beach Volleyball Goes 3-1 at Center of Effort Challenge

No. 1 Stanford wins ranked matchups against No. 6 Cal Poly, No. 7 LMU and No. 8 TCU

Competing at the Center of Effort Challenge at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, No. 1 Stanford went 3-1 on the weekend, finishing third in the competition.

On Friday, the Cardinal saw their 15-match winning streak snapped by No. 4 USC, falling 3-2. However, Stanford bounced back with a sweep of LMU, securing its three match-clinching points in straight sets.

Saturday, the Cardinal secured the third place finish with four, three-set wins on the final day to end the challenge with a 3-1 record taking down No. 8 TCU, 4-1, before closing out hosts No. 6 Cal Poly, 3-2.

Baseball takes road series

Cardinal wins series against Louisville

On the road in Louisville, Stanford Baseball took the series with victories in Game 1 and Game 3 as the Card topped the Cards. 

In Game 1, the Stanford pitching staff did not allow a hit over the final seven innings, and the offense exploded for 12 runs on 12 hits, as the Card earned a 12-2 victory in the opener of a three-game series at Louisville on Friday.

After a tough 10-0 loss in Game 2, Stanford bounced back to capture the rubber match with a 6-4 victory on Sunday. With the Card trailing 4-3 and down to its final out in the top of the ninth inning, sophomore JJ Moran connected for a go-ahead three-run home run to put Stanford ahead for good.

Women's Tennis upsets Golden Bears

Stanford sweeps No. 23 Cal

Stanford picked up a signature win with a 4-0 sweep of rival and No. 23 Cal in Berkeley on Tuesday afternoon. The result was the Cardinal’s highest-ranked victory of the season, surpassing a 4-0 win over then-No. 59 Georgia Tech on February 20, and pushed Stanford’s all-time record against the Golden Bears to 83-16, including 36-9 in Berkeley.

The Card grabbed the elusive doubles point with wins from its pairs on courts two and three to seize the early momentum. As she’s done much of the year, the clincher came from Monika Ekstrand on the top court with a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 13 Berta Passola Folch. Ekstrand has clinched six of Stanford’s 11 victories this season and is now 5-0 against ranked opponents in duals.

Men's Tennis Completes Regular Season with win over Cal

Stanford earns No. 4 seed in ACC Championships

It was a good weekend for Stanford’s two tennis teams against arch-rival Cal. After the Women’s tennis team topped the Golden Bears on Tuesday, the No. 17 Stanford Men’s Tennis team completed its ACC Regular Season with a 4-2 victory over Cal.

With the win, the Cardinal earned the No. 4 seed and a double bye in the upcoming ACC Championship. One of the most consistent performers in the ACC, Alex Razeghi clinched the match on court one with a ranked win in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

Women's Lacrosse wins road regular season finale

Stanford finish season with 6-3 road record

In its final road trip of the season, Stanford Women’s Lacrosse split two matchups on the east coast this past weekend. The weekend didn’t start off hot as the cardinal fell to No. 2 North Carolina 18-9.

However, in a nonconference matchup with Elon Phoenix, the Cardinal closed its final regular season road trip in fashion with a dominant 19-6 win. With the win, Stanford finishes the regular season with a 6-3 record on the road while ending the nonconference slate with a 5-1 record.

Women's track and field defeats Cal

Women's team wins third consecutive Big Meet title

The Cardinal women secured their third consecutive Big Meet title over California in a rain-soaked afternoon at Cobb Track & Angell Field, highlighting the 131st edition of the storied rivalry. The meet also acted as the program's Senior Day, as the program honored its 15 student-athletes graduating in the Class of 2026. 

Stanford won 101-57 with 12 event victories in the women's competition, securing its largest margin of victory since the 2018 meet in Berkeley. The Golden Bears were victorious on the men's side by a score of 112-45.

Men's Rowing sweeps No.11 Yale

No. 7 Stanford Men's Rowing competed at Princeon Invitational

The No. 7-ranked Stanford men’s rowing team swept its three races against No. 11 Yale to highlight its showing at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.

The Cardinal’s 1V8 finished on Lake Carnegie in 6:00.10, more than three seconds ahead of Yale, while the 2V8 was a winner by more than four seconds – 6:21.10 to 6:25.24. The Cardinal 3V8 also won by more than four seconds, crossing in 6:12.01 to Yale’s 6:16.35.
