Professional Baseball Career - Signed a professional baseball contract with the Texas Rangers' organization in June of 2002 after being selected in the eighth round of the 2002 MLB First-Year Player Draft ... Began his professional baseball career in the summer of 2002 with the Pulaski Rangers of the Appalachian Rookie League, hitting .370 with three homers, 24 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 48 games ... Moved to the Single A Savannah Sand Gnats of the South Atlantic League for his final nine games of the campaign, hitting .273 with a pair or RBI and a stolen base.
