Professional Baseball Career - Signed a professional baseball contract with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' organization in the summer of 2003 after being selected in the 23rd round (668th pick overall) of the 2003 MLB First-Year Player Draft ... Pitched for a pair of teams during the summer of 2003, beginning his professional career with the Charleston River Dogs of the `Single A' South Atlantic League (0-0, 4.50 ERA, 4.0 IP, 5 SO) before spending most of the season with the Hudson Valley Renegades of the `Short Season A' New York-Penn League, going 1-2 with a 3.35 ERA and recording 31 strikeouts in 45.2 innings on the hill. Cardinal Career - Completed his career with a 14-7 all-time record and a 3.83 ERA to go with 13 saves that rank tied for sixth on Stanford's all-time list ...
