Professional Baseball Career - Signed a professional baseball contract with the Toronto Blue Jays' organization in June of 2002 after being selected in the 36th round of the 2002 MLB First-Year Player Draft ... Had an excellent first season in the minor leagues during the summer of 2002 by hitting .303 with six homers, 37 RBI and seven stolen bases with the Medicine Hat Blue Jays of the Rookie Pioneer League, before being moved up to the Short Season A Auburn Doubledays to finish the season ... Hit .167 in a short stint with the Doubledays, who qualified for the first round of the playoffs.

Cardinal Career (1999-2002) - Finished his four-year collegiate career with a .315 batting average, 10 homers, 71 RBI and nine stolen bases ...
