MLB Draft: Was the 16th overall selection in the 2011 Draft, going to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Summer Ball: Rated as the top prospect in the Atlantic Collegiate Summer League in 2010 following a 1.09 ERA over 33 innings and 11 games ... went 3-2 with 39 strikeouts and just 14 walks ... also named an all star for the league ... teammates with infielder Eric Smith.

Career at Stanford: Has appeared in 25 games over two seasons with a 2-0 record and 7.04 ERA over 23.0 innings ... has struck out 15 and walked 17.

As a junior in 2011: All-Pac-10 honorable mention selection after ranking third in the league in saves with nine... 6-2 with a 2.56 ERA over 29 appearances and one start, striking out 52 over 52.2 innings and having a .211 opponent batting average... walked 17 and gave up 39 hits... converted nine of 11 saves... put on midseason watch list for NCBWA Stopper of the Year... following his only start in which he gave up seven runs over 4.2 innings, he had a 1.87 ERA (10 ER in 48.0 IP) out of the bullpen the rest of the year... gave up two runs and had an 0.96 ERA over his first 12 relief appearances following that one start, converting three-straight saves at Vandy (2/27), UC Davis (3/21) and Long Beach State (3/27), blowing a save and losing a 10-8 game at Washington State (4/1) before going 4-1 with three more saves through mid May at Oregon... ... had not given up a run in first seven relief appearances and 12.2 innings... picked up two wins over Arizona, book ending the series with three perfect innings on Friday (5/20) and 2.0 scoreless innings in a 2-1 win on Sunday (5/22)... saved both games of the regular season finale at Cal, twice stranding the tying runs on base in the eighth... pitched the final 1.1 innings on the second day of the Fullerton Regional (6/4) over the host Titans to secure 1-0 win... closed out Stanford career with 3.0 innings at North Carolina (6/11) giving up three runs (one earned).

As a Sophomore in 2010: Appeared in 19 games, all out of the bullpen, compiling a 6.10 ERA over 20.2 innings ... struck out 14 and walked 15 with a .295 opponent batting average ... went 2-0 on the season ... first career win was a scoreless sixth inning at OSU (4/16) ... got final out of ninth v. Cal (4/25) as team won in bottom of the ninth for second win ... career-best 4.1 innings in relief at Cal, scattering four htis while not allowing a run (4/5) ... then career-high 2.1 innings against Pepperdine (3/21), allowing two runs on two hits with two strikeouts.

As a Freshman in 2009: Pitched in six games during his freshman season, producing a 15.43 ERA ... worked 0.1 inning in his collegiate debut February 25 versus Saint Mary's ... tossed a combined 1.0-scoreless inning in efforts February 27 at Cal State Fullerton (0.2 ip) and March 6 versus Texas (0.1 ip) ... season ERA was skewed by two appearances March 23 at California and April 27 versus San Francisco, in which he allowed a combined three earned runs without recording an out ... worked a perfect inning in his final appearance, April 29 versus Sacramento State.

High School: Graduated in 2008 from Cleveland High School in Reseda, Calif. ... was a second-team All-West Valley League selection as a senior in 2008 after earning first-team accolades in 2007 ... was named his school's pitcher of the year each of his final two seasons (2007-08), while also serving as team captain during both campaigns ... graduated with a 4.2 GPA, and earned the 2008 U.S. Army National Scholar Athlete Award.
