Summer Ball: Helped pitch the Anchorage Glacier Pilots to the 2008 Alaska Baseball League championship, going 1-1 with a 2.75 ERA (6er, 19.2ip) and a .213 average against (16-for-75) in five games (four starts) ... played for Brewester in the Cape Cod Summer League in 2009, posting a 2.82 ERA over 12 games and one start ... striking out 11 over 22.1 innings ... in the summer prior to his senior season, pitched in his hometown, the St. Louis Metro Collegiate Baseball League, earning all star honors following a lead leaguing 7-0 record and 1.26 ERA ... struck out 57 over 50.0 innings over seven starts, ranking second in the league in strikeouts, third in innings and third in opponent batting average (.184).

Stanford Career: Finished off his career in the weekend rotation, giong 9-5 with a 4.18 ERA over 70 career appearances with 22 starts and two complete games... pitched 196.0 innings with 196 hits and 123 strikeouts and 68 walks... had a .265 opponent batting average.

As a senior in 2011: Finished his career as the weekend starter from late April, going 4-1 with a 3.39 ERA over 13 games and eight starts with one complete game... struck out 45 and walked 15 over 61.0 innings, giving up 53 hits and producing a .237 opponent batting average... also had one save... had his longest career outing since his freshman year and 2008 NCAA Regional complete game at ASU (4/30) in his second week in the rotation, evening the series with the Sun Devils. Struck out a career-best nine, giving up four runs (one earned) on five hits... produced a 2.53 ERA allowing six earned runs over his first three weekend starts (21.1 IP) against top-15 opponents UCLA and Arizona State and also Washington (5/7)... against Washington in a no-decision, gave up three runs on six hits with six strikeouts, leaving with a 7-3 lead... his final career appearance was to clinch the NCAA Regional at Fullerton, when he gave up two runs on eight his over 7.0 innings against Illinois with six strikeouts... earned spot in weekend rotation after seven appearances on April 23, producing a 2.49 ERA over 25.1 innings prior... got save in series clincher with final 4.0 innings, giving up one earned run on two hits at No. 17 Rice (2/20).

As a Junior in 2010: Appeared in 18 games with three starts, going 2-2 with a 4.87 ERA over 44.1 innings ... struck out 26 and walked 16, rebounding from a 7.09 ERA in 2009 ... opponents batting .282 against him ... pitched 3.1 innings out of the pen at No. 26 Arizona (5/23) giving up one run on four hits ... two longest outings this season were both five innings, where he got in trouble pitching into the sixth ... pitched 3.0 shutout innings at San Jose State (5/12) ... gave up a total of six runs over his last two sixth innings after two solid five-inning starts ... tossed 5.1 innings for the win, giving up six runs on eight hits, including three in his final inning against San Jose State (5/4) ... After five scoreless innings, gave up three runs in the sixth on three hits to take the loss at SCU (4/27). It was his longest outing since the 2008 postseason, which included a complete game win over Pepperdine in the NCAA Regional and four innings in the CWS. Also threw four innings in 2009 ... pitched two shutout innings to close out series opener with Oregon (4/9).

As a Sophomore in 2009: Had an up-and-down sophomore campaign, finishing with a 1-1 record and a 7.09 ERA over 33.0 innings over 19 games (five starts) ... yielded seven earned runs in just 3.2 innings over his first two appearances (one start) ... bounced back to forge a 1.59 ERA over 11.2 innings, allowing just two runs over his next five outings (two starts), a stretch in which he allowed just seven hits while striking out 12 ... made a pair of midweek starts during the run, and helped Stanford to a pair of wins ... tossed 3.0-shutout innings in a March 25 start at UC Davis ... earned his only victory of the year March 30 at Pacific, starting and setting season highs with 4.0 innings and five strikeouts ... season ERA stood at 4.94 (15er, 27.1ip) after a three-outing scoreless stretch April 27-May 3, but he was touched for 11 earned runs in 5.2 innings over his final five appearances.

As a Freshman in 2008: Enjoyed an outstanding rookie collegiate season, going 2-1 with one save and a 2.81 ERA (18er, 57.2ip) in 20 games (six starts) ... ranked second on the club for ERA, while he tied for third in appearances ... without his rough April 11 start at Oregon State (5er, 0.2ip), forged a 2.05 ERA (13er, 57.0ip) over his other 19 outings ... yielded fewer hits than innings pitched, while holding opposing batters to a .257 average (56-for-218) ... ranked second in the Pac-10 by picking off five baserunners, while he led the league with three during conference play ... opened the season with a 1.93 ERA (3er, 14.0ip) and .176 average against (9-for-51) over his first eight appearances (two starts) ... made his collegiate debut out of the bullpen in the second game of a February 22 doubleheader versus Nebraska giving up one run on two hits over 2.1 innings ... made his first start April 1 versus Hawaii, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings ... pitched the final three innings of an April 26 victory over USC for his first collegiate save ... worked 4.1 relief innings May 24 at Washington to earn his initial collegiate win, allowing one run on three hits ... saved his best pitching for a dominant postseason, as he made two starts and was 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA over 13.0 innings, allowing just two earned runs and a .170 average against ... took the ball for the first of two elimination games against Pepperdine to determine the Regional champion, and responded with his first career complete game in a 13-1 win ... pitched a six-hitter, with one walk and six strikeouts ... again faced an elimination situation at the College World Series in a start versus Miami ... limited the Hurricanes to one run on two hits over 4.0 innings, as Stanford won 8-3 to remain alive in Omaha.

High School: Graduated in 2007 from St. Louis (Mo.) Priory School, where he was a two-sport standout in both baseball and football ... was twice named first-team all state, All-Metro St. Louis All-ABC League (2006 and 2007) ... was a finalist for the 2007 St. Louis Rising Star Award, when he finished his senior season with a 1.94 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 36.0 innings ... also lettered twice as a linebacker in football ... was named second-team all league in 2005, while racking up 121 total tackles, 3.0 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions ... was on the prep school honor roll his sophomore through senior years ... won his school's 2005 Most Improved Student Award ... coached in baseball by Russ Ham.
