Summer Ball: In the summer of 2009 pitched for the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Summer League, producing a 2.93 ERA over 10 games (eight starts) ... was named the fourth-best prospect in the Alaska League by Baseball America following 55 strikeouts and 25 walks in 43.0 innings, in which he allowed just 22 hits and opponents batted .151 against him ... in the summer of 2010 pitched in the Cape Cod League as one of three Cardinal pitchers for Yarmouth-Dennis ... went 0-2 with a 3.97 ERA over 13 games and two starts ... struck out 15 and walked 17 over 22.2 innings with a .256 opponent batting average.

Stanford Career: Lefthander left the Cardinal after three seasons, going 4-7 with a 5.47 ERA over 65 appearances and nine starts... had four saves over 100.1 innings with 93 strikeouts and 69 walks... opponents hit .267 against him.

As a junior in 2011: Pitching out of the bullpen, had a 4.94 ERA over 26 relief appearances, going 2-2 over 31.0 innings... struck out 38 and walked 28 with a .237 opponent average... gave up 28 hits... his ERA was 2.93 on April 23 until giving up nine earned over 6.0 innings and nine games to close out his career... got a key strikeout, stranding runners at first and second in a 5-3 game in the seventh, before pitching a perfect eighth at SCU (4/19)... pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts against No. 9 Oregon State in 1-0 loss (4/15)... saved a 16-14 win over Saint Mary's (3/29) with the final two outs, lowering his ERA to 1.84 over the first 9 appearances... struck out three over 2.0 shutout innings against Santa Clara (3/22)... earned save with 2.0 shutout innings v. As a Sophomore in 2010: Started season in the weekend rotation over first four weekends, moving to the bullpen, compiling a 1-2 record and 5.59 ERA over 37.0 innings with 38 strikeouts and 29 walks for NCAA Regional team...appeared out of the bullpen in 18 of his 22 appearances ... pitched the final 3.2 innings for his first save against SJSU (5/4) giving up one run on four hits ... had a 5.06 ERA in four starts prior to moving to the bullpen in late March ... had a 6.00 ERA out of the bullpen ... 2.1 shutout innings at Washington (5/2) ... pitched two shutout innings and four strikeouts at SCU (4/13) ... struck out career-best seven against Pepperdine, including five in a row. Could not get out of the fourth, leaving with a 7-2 lead ... career-high 6.1 innings in no-decision against No. 5 Rice to open the year.

As a Freshman in 2009: Pitched in a variety of roles during his rookie collegiate season, finishing with a 1-3 record, one save and a 5.85 ERA over 32.1 innings and 17 games (five starts) ... season ERA would have been over a run lower - 4.26 - if not for a rough collegiate debut in which he allowed six earned runs in just 0.2-inning February 21 versus Vanderbilt (Game 1) ... worked 2.1 innings of one-hit shutout relief on the road against eventual CWS participant Cal State Fullerton ... made his first career start March 8 versus Texas, working 3.1 innings and suffering the loss ... blanked the Longhorns through the first 3.0 frames, but was knocked out in the fourth ... recorded the game's final two outs and stranded the tying run at second for his first collegiate save March 22, closing out Stanford's 6-5, 12-inning win at California ... threw two-hit, shutout ball over a careerhigh 4.0 innings March 30 at Pacific ... earned his first career win with 3.0-scoreless innings in an April 20 start versus Santa Clara giving up four hits, pitching Stanford to an 11-0 victory.

High School: Graduated in 2008 from Yucaipa (Calif.)
