BOSTON - No. 4 Stanford's varsity eight boat took first against No. 2 Boston University in the last regular season competition for both teams Saturday morning.
The Cardinal broke out to an early lead with a steady pace on the Charles, getting to a three seat lead. Stanford increased their lead and took the win with a 5.3 second margin at 7:01.40.
The varsity four started the morning bright and early at 4 a.m. PT, but fell behind at the start. The Cardinal was unable to pull it back, but was unable to, finishing in 8:15.20.
Stanford will wrap up the season in a little less than a month at the IRA Championships from June 2-4.
