Wrestling Finishes Second at ACC Championships

Daniel Cardenas, Jack Consiglio earn individual ACC titles

Daniel Cardenas and Jack Consiglio won individual titles to lead Stanford to a runner-up finish at the ACC Championships, Sunday, at Cassell Coliseum.

The Cardinal produced multiple conference champions in the same season for the first time since 2022. Second is the highest conference finish under Chris Ayres, The Matt Gentry Head Coach, who is in his third season at the helm of the program.

In total, eight Cardinal secured automatic berths into the NCAA Championships on Sunday. Joining Cardenas and Consiglio are Nico Provo (125), Tyler Knox (133), Aden Valencia (149), EJ Parco (165), Abraham Wojcikiewicz (184) and Angelo Posada (197).

Men's Basketball Finishes Regular Season On Fire

Team enters ACC Tournament on four-game winning streak

On the road for their final regular season contests, Stanford Men’s Basketball ended the season on a hot streak, winning both matchups to put themselves firmly in the NCAA Tournament conversation.

Wednesday saw the Card pick up a victory against Notre Dame, 86-78, at Purcell Pavilion. Jeremy Dent-Smith set a new season high with 21 points, going 6-for-7 from the floor and 5-for-6 from beyond the arc, including the dagger 3-pointer in the game’s final minute.

In their final game of the regular season, Stanford topped NC State in a tight 85-84 victory at the Lenovo Center. Ebuka Okorie tallied his seventh 30-point outing of the season, scoring 33 points with career highs of 13 field goals and five 3-pointers, to go with five rebounds, three assists and two steals. The win was Stanford’s fifth of the season in the NET’s quadrant one, and its third in quadrant 1A.

Women's Water Polo Wins Rematch of Top-2 Teams

No.1 Stanford tops No.2 UCLA for second time this season

No. 1 Stanford earned its second win of the season against No. 2 UCLA, prevailing 10-9 on Saturday afternoon to claim an important tiebreaker in MPSF competition.

Juliette Dhalluin scored a game-high four goals – three coming off penalty shots – while Jenna Flynn added a hat trick and the go-ahead goal with 3:47 remaining in the final period.

Christine Carpenter made three of her five saves during an impressive fourth quarter, including the denial of a penalty shot with under three minutes remaining. Carpenter anchored Stanford’s latest defensive masterpiece, as the Cardinal has allowed fewer than 10 goals in seven games this season.

Women's Lacrosse picks up two ACC wins

Program stays undefeated on the season

On the road for two matchups this week, No. 2 Stanford women’s lacrosse stayed perfect on the season, picking up two wins in conference play.

Against Virginia Tech, Mallory Hasselbeck's career-high seven points and a 45-minute shutout streak highlighted a milestone afternoon as the Card dispatched the Hokies 16-6, on Tuesday. With the win Paul A. Violich Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Danielle Spencer earned her 100th career win.

On Sunday in a ranked matchup, a late fourth-quarter comeback paired with a stifling defensive effort provided the tools needed for Stanford to push to victory as the Cardinal stymied the No. 22/24 Duke Blue Devils, 11-10. In the victory, Stanford tied the best start in the program’s history in the non-COVID era and tied the second-best start in program history.

Fencing Earns Three First-Place Finishes at NCAA Western Regionals

Sun, Chin and Wang all top respective weapon groups

Competing at the NCAA Western Regionals in San Antonio, Stanford fencing saw three first-place finishes today, with Ruoxi Sun (women’s foil), Sophia Chin (women’s saber) and Robert Wang (men’s saber) all finishing first. Eight Card fencers finished in the top three.

Next up for the Cardinal is the NCAA Championships, which will run from March 19-22 in South Bend, Indiana. Selections for the final site will be announced on Tuesday, March 10.

Women's Squash Finishes Third at CSA National Championships

Program earns second ever trip to semifinals

It’s CSA National Championship time for the Stanford women’s squash team, and they began their national title bid with a matchup against No. 6 Virginia. For the first time since 2019, the team made its way to the semifinal, topping the Cavaliers 7-2 to advance to a matchup with No. 2 Penn.

However, in the semifinal the No. 3 Cardinal came up just short to No. 2 Penn in the on Saturday, falling 5-4 in the program’s second-ever trip to the semifinal round of the Howe Cup. In the end, the Card finished third-place with a win over No.4 Harvard in the third-place game. It is the second time in program history that Stanford has placed top-three at the Howe Cup.

Zoe Prystajko dominates as offense shines

The No. 21 Cardinal bounced back from last weekend’s series loss at Louisville, finishing off a three-game sweep of Pitt, moving to 14-6 on the year and 4-2 in conference play


Zoe Prystajko was dominant across the weekend slate, finishing the weekend with two wins, a save and 24 strikeouts in 9.2 hitless innings. At the plate, the Card slugged 22 runs across the three games, totalling four home runs and 31 hits.

Beach Volleyball captures two Top-20 wins

No. 1 Stanford goes 3-1 at MPSF Midseason Rumble

This past week, the No.1 Stanford Beach Volleyball team traveled to the City of Angels to play in the MPSF Midseason Rumble for a two-day tournament.

On Day 1, the Cardinal captured two victories on its first day of action, topping Oregon 5-0 and besting No. 13 LSU 3-2 at Merle Norman Stadium on the campus of USC. On Day 2, Stanford split matchups against two Top-5 opponents, topping No. 5 Texas 3-2 before falling to host No. 2 UCLA 4-1.

Cardinal nabs three more first-place finishes

Stanford kept up the strong start to the spring slate this weekend, finishing first at three more regattas. In the first four weekends of the year, the Card has finished first in eight-straight.

Stanford swept the St. Mary’s team race, winning all nine races. Two of the nine wins featured the Card take the three top spots. The Cardinal went 8-0 at the Jen Harris team race as well, taking the top three spots in five races and the top two in all eight.

Men's Rowing sweeps Redwood Shores Inivtational

Stanford beats UC San Diego, Santa Clara and San Diego 

Stanford boats closed out the Redwood Shores Invitational with undefeated records over the weekend. The first, second and third varsity eights combined for a 7-0 weekend on the 2,000-meter Belmont Channel/Redwood Shores Lagoon course. 

A weekend highlight, Stanford’s 3V8 finished the course in 5:46.8 against the Broncos to pick up a win a long time coming. It was the first time the Cardinal had raced a third varsity since the IRA in 2019. Stanford had been unable to field three eights since due to the sport discontinuation during COVID, so Saturday was the first time in nearly seven years Stanford had a full team on the water racing.

Men's Volleyball Sweeps Series against Saint Francis

Team records best hitting percentage this season

No. 18 Stanford Men’s Volleyball swept a weekend series with Saint Francis, closing out both matches by a score of 3-0. 

On Friday, behind a season-best .478 attack percentage, the Card won 25-16, 25-21, 25-21, in Burnham Pavillion. Then on Saturday, following that season-best performance, Stanford hit .460 as a team, while holding Saint Francis to a .233 clip. The Cardinal, which has won four in a row, totaled 36 kills, 22 digs, 7.0 blocks and a season-high eight aces.

Men's Tennis Tops Virginia Tech

No. 21 Stanford defeats Hokies 4-1 in return home

Returning home to Arrillaga Tennis Center-Taube Pavilion, No. 21 Stanford men’s tennis tallied a 4-1 victory over Virginia Tech. Stanford improves to 9-4 this season and 2-1 in the ACC.

The Cardinal struck early in doubles, taking a 1-0 lead after wins on courts one and two. Nico Godsick and Jagger Leach clinched the advantage with a 7-5 win on court two. Stanford claimed five of the six opening sets in singles play to remain in control of the match. Alex Chang clinched the match on court two, battling for a 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory.
