Team upsets No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 23 NC State in first two matches at Arrillaga Tennis Center

It could not have been a more picture perfect opening for the Arrillaga Tennis Center. Hosting the defending NCAA Champions, No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 25 Stanford Men’s Tennis came all the way back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Deacons 4-3, on a magical opening night.

The thrilling ending against Wake Forest provided plenty of drama in Stanford’s debut at the Arrillaga Tennis Center, formerly known as Taube Family Tennis Stadium and site of the Cardinal’s last home match inside the venue back on April 7, 2024 against Utah.

On Sunday, the team stayed rolling, defeating No. 23 NC State 4-3 to cap off a perfect weekend. Coming down to his court for the second consecutive match, Leach clinched the victory on court five in three sets.
