Artistic Swimming Wins National Championship

Team secures back-to-back titles, this time at Avery Aquatic Center

Fueled by two event victories on the final day of competition, Stanford claimed the USA Artistic Swimming Collegiate National Championship title on Saturday afternoon to repeat as national champions. The victory was especially memorable, as the Cardinal prevailed in its home pool at Avery Aquatic Center.

Capturing event crowns in trio and team during a second-day surge, Stanford secured back-to-back national championships for the first time since a four-peat stretch from 2005-08. Stanford totaled 98 points, leading the field ahead of runner-up Incarnate Word (83) and third-place Ohio State (82).

Yara Elian, Audrey Kwon and Calista Liu teamed to win the trio event crown, posting a score of 239.7192. The Cardinal also came away with silver, as Megumi Field, Dalia Ovadia and Karen Xue achieved a score of 236.7187. In the team event, Stanford’s top squad of Miko Begossi, Ivy Davis, Yara Elian, Megumi Field, Audrey Kwon, Calista Liu, Dalia Ovadia and Karen Xue led the field with a score of 234.920.

Men's Golf Wins The Goodwin

Program collects first win on home soil in seven years

For the first time since 2019, the Stanford men’s golf team won on home soil, shooting 6-under par on the final day to claim the team championship at the 2026 The Goodwin on Saturday. The win is Stanford’s 17th championship as a team at The Goodwin while the Cardinal earned its second win of the 2025-26 season shooting 17-under par across the three-day tournament. 

Stanford’s third-round surge was catapulted by Ethan Gao and Nathan Wang who both shot 1-under, 69 for the day. Gao went 2-under through the front nine while earning clinical par’s on his final five holes to put Stanford in contention. Gao placed tied for 26th at 1-under for the tournament.

Beach Volleyball Collects Five Ranked wins in Texas

Team now up to 15 ranked wins on the season

On the road in the Lone Star State, the No. 2 Stanford Beach Volleyball team took on five ranked opponents in Texas this past week and secured top-20 victories in all five, increasing its total to 15 ranked wins throughout the 2026 campaign.

The five ranked wins included top-10 victories over No. 6 Texas and No. 7 TCU, besting both home teams by a score of 4-1. Also included in the Card’s tear through Texas were wins over No. 12 LSU, also by a score of 4-1, and two 5-0 sweeps of No. 16 Florida Atlantic University and No. 17 North Florida.

Stanford wins the tournament for second consecutive year

In a field that contained 11 ranked teams, with over half the field inside the top-10 of the latest rankings, Stanford was able to persevere and win the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational for the second consecutive year, despite shooting 8-over as a team for the week and 6-over in the final round. No. 2 Stanford was able to hold-off No. 7 Oregon by three strokes over an extremely difficult three rounds.

A trio of Cardinal finished tied for fifth at Colonial. Kelly Xu entered Tuesday in the best position for a win, starting the final 18 just one stroke off the lead at 2-under overall. Joining her at 211 overall was Meja Örtengren. Finally, Paula Martín Sampedro joined Xu and Örtengren in a tie for fifth at 211.

Baseball Stays Hot with Road ACC Series Win

The Card's series win over Virginia Tech is first in ACC Play this season

Staying hot after a four-game sweep of Utah State last weekend, Stanford baseball collected its first conference series win of the season, taking two-out-of-three from Virginia Tech. 

In Game 1, freshman Teddy Tokheim connected for a pair of home runs, including a go-ahead three-run shot in the eighth, as Stanford earned a 9-7 victory over the Hokies. Tokheim finished the game 3-for-4 with the two homers and five RBIs while hitting second in the Stanford order.

In Game 3, the game went to extras. Knotted at 3-3 in the 10th inning, Stanford scored three times, including two on a go-ahead RBI-single from Tokheim. The Cardinal tacked on one more insurance run on a Charlie Bates single, running the final tally to 6-3 and winning the rubber match.

Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes 5th at NCAA Championships

It's the fifth-consecutive top-10 finish for Stanford

Stanford Men’s swimming and diving wrapped up their season this weekend by competing at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta. Overall, the Card finished tenth as a team with 128 team points, which was good for fourth in the ACC, and 2026 marked the fifth consecutive season with a top-10 finish at the NCAA swimming and diving championships.

Stanford’s best finish of the weekend came in the 800m free relay race as a dangerous lineup of Andres Dupont Cabrera, Ethan Ekk, Jason Zhao, and Henry McFadden, secured a National Runner-Up performance and a program record with a time of 6:06.39.

The Cardinal came home with 13 All-American performances scattered across both swim and dive. Highlighting the solo performances were Henry McFadden’s 3rd-place finish in the 200M Free and Misha Andriyuk’s 5th-place finish in the Platform Diving, both performances earned First-Team All American placements.

Stanford Returns to Kezar Stadium

Football will hold an open spring practice at the historic venue on Apr. 11

For the first time since 2012, Stanford football will hold a spring practice at historic Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.

Stanford’s practice on Saturday, April 11, will be open to the public. Admission is free for all fans, with gates to Kezar Stadium opening at 1:30 p.m. Practice will run from 2-4 p.m., with an autograph session scheduled immediately following practice. A family-friendly fan fest will begin when gates open, featuring food trucks, inflatables, and games.

“We are excited to return to Kezar Stadium in San Francisco for a spring practice,” said Stanford football general manager Andrew Luck. “There is a rich history of Bay Area football at Kezar, and some of the early foundations of Stanford football would be incomplete without it. Bringing a spring practice back to San Francisco and back to Kezar Stadium is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our program.”

No. 1 Stanford tops No. 4 Tennessee in top-five matchup

No. 1 Stanford commanded No. 4 Tennessee in its first taste of action this spring, sweeping the Volunteers in five races on Melton Hill Lake on Saturday morning. Stanford’s third varsity eight kicked off racing with an almost eight-second margin of victory over Tennessee’s boat.

The Cardinal then took on the Volunteers in the first varsity four race, earning its largest victory of the day, crossing the finish line nearly 17 seconds ahead of Tennessee’s boat.

Water Polo Bounces Back with win over No. 10 Indiana

The Cardinal dominated the Hoosiers, winning 16-4.

No. 2 Stanford relied on a balanced offensive performance to defeat No. 10 Indiana 16-4 on Saturday afternoon in its final road contest of the regular season. Six days after suffering its only loss of the season, Stanford regrouped quickly and dominated Indiana from start to finish.

Kamryn Barone and Juliette Dhalluin led the way with hat tricks, powering an offense that featured goals from nine different players as the Cardinal scored at least 15 goals for the seventh time this season.

Cardinal finishes 14-2 to top 12-team competition

The Cardinal continued its dominant spring schedule this weekend, winning the Dellenbaugh Women’s Team Race. The victory was Stanford’s 11th in 13 competitions this spring.

The Cardinal contingent featured Ellie HarnedKit HarnedKate MylesPiper BlackbandAlice SchmidAvery Baldwin and Samara Walshe. Stanford opened with nine-straight victories, holding on to stave off Brown, who finished second at 13-3.

Softball Head Coach Jessica Allister Earns 600th Career Win

Associate Head Coach Jessica Merchant also reaches the career milestone

Stanford Softball head caoch Jessica Allister reached a career milestone as the team split their four games last week. The week began with a 7-2 midweek win over East Carolina. Ava Gall paced the Card with a career-best four RBI, while Emily Jones extended her hitting streak to eight games with a 3-for-4 day at the plate.

On the Road in Durham, Stanford failed to capture a series win against Duke, losing two out of the three games. However, the win was highlighted by a career performance from Taryn Kern who led the way for the Card with a pair of home runs, both of which led off innings to jumpstart the offense on the way to a 11-4 win.

The win was number 600 in Paul A. Violich Director of Softball Jessica Allister’s career, all 600 of which have also come with Jessica Mendoza Associate Head Coach Jessica Merchant.

Men's Rowing competes against top competition at the Sarasota 2k

No. 9 Stanford places fifth

Stanford completed action Saturday in the two-day Sarasota 2K at Nathan Benderson Park. The No. 9 Cardinal placed fifth among a field of top-10 teams. Stanford raced No. 1 Washington, No. 3 Harvard, No. 6 Brown, No. 7 Northeastern and No. 10 Yale in each race. The teams competed for the Benderson Cup.

After finishing in sixth in Sarasota a year ago, the Cardinal’s 1V8 came in fourth in 5:53.37 less than a second behind Brown for third (5:52.51). Stanford was just one point of Northeastern for fourth in the overall standings, with 15 points to the Huskies’ 16.

Men's Tennis Collects Road Win

Cardinal defeats Georgia Tech, 4-1

On the east coast, No. 22 Stanford Men’s Tennis split two matchups in conference play, downing Georgia Tech, 4-1, before falling to Clemson, 4-2.


Against Gerogia Tech, Stanford got the afternoon started with wins on courts one and two in doubles. Alex Chang and Alex Razeghi scored a 6-4 victory on court one for their 15th as a duo this season, and ninth in dual matches, while Nico Godsick and Hudson Rivera clinched Stanford’s advantage with a 6-3 win on court two, their fifth as a pair this year.

Pushing its advantage to 2-0, Jagger Leach finished a straight sets win on court five, 6-4, 6-2, for his 12th victory of the dual season.

Women's Tennis Top Louisville

Stanford completed a 10-day road trip

Stanford finished its 10-day ACC road trip with a 4-1 win at Louisville on Sunday afternoon.

The top four courts carried the Cardinal to victory in singles with Monika Ekstrand, Alyssa Ahn, Caroline Driscoll and Tianmei Wang all winning in straight sets. Driscoll had the clincher at No. 3, her second of the season, over Germany Davis 6-3, 6-2. The other three singles victories all came courtesy of Stanford’s No. 1 freshman class.
